Please read this agreement carefully, fill it out completely and return it along with your deposit (Make Check Payable to SOS or Serendipity on the Shore, 2046 Grandview Farms Court, Bethel Park, PA 15102)

Early Check- in or late check-out are subject to prior approval and agreed to by management. Late check-outs make incur a charge.

Six week written notice is required by both parties to cancel the reservation and to receive a refund. There will be a $50 processing fee for cancellations. All rates are U.S. Currency and 12% Florida tourist tax is required. Rates are subject to change.

There are no guarantees concerning weather, but if an evacuation is ordered we will refund your rental payment for the portion of the rental period that is not used.

You are welcome to use any toys, umbrellas etc in the outside storage shed. It is a courtesy to you and we don’t guarantee what items ate there. Many guests purchase and leave Boogie boards; toys etc and leave them with the house in addition to ours.

 

Guests are issued one bath towel, one hand towel and one face cloth per person/sleeping arrangement. A couple kitchen towels, several extra towels and beach towels will be included, but ALL towels must be laundered and folded before check out. (We supply laundry detergent) Housekeeping will remove and launder bed linens. Please do not take our linens home with you.

 

 

Phone access and internet services

There are no phone land lines. Please bring your cell phone. You may be able to contact to a wireless signal in the area, but are advised to use a wireless computer with air card or the Badass coffee café (about a block away) has internet café.

 

Laundry

 

  • The laundry is for your convenience. The washer and dryer are not commercial appliances so we ask you to use them wisely. Beach Bliss guests using outside laundry please cover appliances when finished.
  • Florida has strict water conservation ordinances. Please do not waste water. For maximum efficiency wash and dry full loads
  • Please do not put tennis shoes or any rubber or plastic items in washer or dryer
  • Please do not launder or bleach any quilts or matching pillow shams. Clean out dryer vent after each load
  • Shake sand from items before placing them in the washer
  • In the summer, it is best to do any laundry early in the morning as not to heat up the house.

 

Air conditioning

  • Push button to “auto” before raising or lowering temperature. Adjust temperature by pressing the button. Please close all windows and doors while the AC is running. On very hot days, keeping the blinds closed will help cool the house. Keep ceiling fans running to circulate air.
  • Some rooms are equipped with room air conditioners. Please close all windows and doors while the AC is running. Keep ceiling fans running to circulate air.
  • Electrical surges are common on the beach so clocks may need to be reset

 

Bedrooms

 

  • Private bathroom doors lead to the outside. If you use them, don’t forget to lock them when you go out.
  • Tables and suitcase racks are provided for suitcases. Please use them and not the beds. Extra blankets are in the closets or armoires
  • Please use plastic mattress protectors along with the futon sheets (located in the armoire in the foyer) before making up futon bed. Extra blankets are in the closets or armoires

 

 

 

Parking

Beach House Parking is available to registered house guests only and includes the driveway and parking lot next door. Beach Bliss Villa Guests use parking lot.

Rules and Regulations

 

Serendipity on the Shore is a family orientated facility in a quaint residential area of Redington shores. We invite guests to share our home and enjoy the beach. We are a community of good people who respect and look out for our neighbors. Please respect our property as if it were your own.

 

We want you to have a wonderful visit. Alcoholic beverages are permitted but must be used responsibly. Drunken and disorderly conduct, excessive noise and annoyance, drugs or cigarettes on any of the premises are immediate grounds for eviction and forfeiture of security deposit and rental fees.

 

Our property is strictly a non-smoking property, which includes house, apartment, deck, beach area, patio, sidewalks and driveways. There are no exceptions. Violation will result in immediate eviction and forfeiture of your security deposit if there is any evidence of smoking.

 

Registered guests only. Any additional overnight guests and pets are permitted only if they have been registered with management prior to taking occupancy. Additional occupancy may result in an additional charge.

 

Beach Regulations

  • No glass is permitted on the beach
  • Please use outside shower to remove sand before entering house. Excess sand in the inside showers will clog up the drains
  • PVC chairs and loungers are permitted on the beach. Please do not take the patio furniture on to the beach. Bring all chairs and umbrellas in at the end of the day or the guy that cleans the beach will take them!

 

*Pet rules

Dogs may be permitted with prior approval. Please bring a pet kennel for when you are out. Please make arrangements to board your dog if you will be gone for more than a couple of hours. Bring leash and dog dish. If you need a sheet to cover any of the furniture, we have some extra sheets for pets. All dogs should be healthy, have current flea treatments and shots. Dogs are not permitted on the beach at any time. Guest is responsible for picking up all dog debris and disposing it in properly in the garbage.

 

 

 

 

Wildlife and Vegetation

 

  • Please do not feed the sea gulls or birds near the house. We do not recommend feeding the birds because some foods are not appropriate. If you must feed the birds, fish, bread or crackers do it close to the water

 

  • Do not leave outside lights on during turtle’s egg laying season May 1st -October 1st. It attracts them to the house and can be harmful to their egg laying ritual

 

  • It is against the law to pull or cut sea oats and other vegetation (Sand spurs are a different story! Pull them until your hearts content! Don’t know what a sand spur is? You will if you get one stuck in your foot!)

 

  • Shells! Everyone loves to collect shells at the beach. It’s okay, but please leave them outside and don’t forget to take them with you or return them to the beach!

 

  • If you walk out onto the sandbar you can pick up dozens of sand dollars. They are living creatures. If you remove them and let the dry, you are killing them! It’s great to see them, but please have a heart and keep them in the water.

 

 

Check In (Please read carefully)

 

  • Call Diana 412-414-7777 to let you in and give you the keys
  • Check in time is 2:00 pm
  • There is no early check-in with out prior approval of management.

Cleaning personnel are not permitted to allow any early check-in unless instructed to do so from management. (There is a four hour window of time to clean, take inventory and ready the property for the next guests)

 

Check Out Procedure (Please read carefully)

 

  • Wash all dishes, wash and dry all towels before you leave (we need as much time as possible to clean before the next guests arrive.)
  • Housekeeping will change and wash the bed linens
  • Check for your personal belongings. We can not be responsible.
  • We prefer that you do not move the furniture, linens or accessories, but in the event you do, you must return everything to its original spot.
  • If you use the grill, please clean it.
  • Remove all garbage from the house (bathrooms, kitchen and patio) Garbage must be bagged neatly and placed curb side every Tuesday night and Friday night. DO NOT WAIT UNTIL THE END OF THE WEEK AS THE BEACH HAS PICK UP TWICE A WEEK TO PREVENT PEST PROBLEMS. Failure to do so will result in a $40 fee for private removal of trash that will be deducted from your security deposit.
  • We provide access to our outside storage which contains beach toys, umbrellas, etc as a courtesy. We can not guarantee what is available. All chairs must be returned to the patio and all toys, etc must be put back in the storage shed.
  • Return remote controls to their place beside the respective televisions or AC units.
  • Turn off lights
  • Leave all keys on kitchen counters
  • Lock the back doors (street side). Leave beach entrance door unlocked
  • Immediately report any damage to Diana 412-414-7777. Failure to do so may result in a charge deducted from your deposit

From Housekeeping

Please be advised that housekeeping is responsible for basic cleaning of the home and apartment. Housekeeping is not responsible for:

·        Putting furniture, linens, accessories, etc. back to their original places if you move it. Missing linens or damage.

·        putting beach chairs onto the patio or toys back into the shed

·        Cleaning the grill

 

After your departure, if housekeeping or caretaking has to do any of the extra check out duties that were the responsibility of the guests, they will charge the owners. This can include repairs that were not reported as stated in the agreement. Please understand that this is the home of our client and not a motel rental. They have provided “extras” as a courtesy. It is appropriate to treat it as such. In the event housekeeping has to bill the owners for the extra duties, they will be advised by us to deduct the extra fees from the security deposit.

 

Payment and contact information:

 

We accept only U.S. certified funds, travelers checks, or money orders. Full payment must be received 20 days prior to arrival date. Six weeks written notice is required to receive a refund. There will be a $50 processing fee.

  • Or, take trip up to the Greek section Tarpon Springs for really good atmosphere and Greek food. ****

Misc (if you want to party a bit!)

  • If you want a really "campy" experience that is a bit "different" go see Sloppy Johns. It's a bar. Don't eat there or drink out of a glass ( can or bottle is okay) It's just pretty funky!
  • Local bar… Fort Knox- walk there,
  • Friendly Tavern…walk there.. Karoke, outside bar, fun
  • If you want to go to a cool place on the beach. (The only beach bar left close by) try Caddy's at the Waterfront. Live music (Treasure Island)*****
  • Kosmakos- Nightclub/restaurant -usually really good bands.***** (Treasure Island)
